Fillers, Botox & Threads

About PDO Threads

PDO threads are fine, dissolvable threads placed under the skin to gently lift sagging areas and stimulate the skin to make more collagen. They are often used on the cheeks, jawline and brows.

Threads are a non-surgical option that sits between injectables and a facelift. The number and type of threads depend entirely on your face and goals.

Benefits

  • A subtle lift without surgery
  • Support for cheeks, jawline or brows
  • Skin quality can improve as collagen builds
  • Short treatment time

Who it suits

  • Mild to moderate skin laxity
  • People who want a lift without a surgical facelift
  • Those who want to refine the jawline or cheek position

Safety and what to tell us

  • Not suitable during pregnancy, breastfeeding, active skin infection or certain bleeding conditions
  • Tell us about allergies, blood thinners and previous threads or fillers
  • Bruising, tenderness and dimpling can occur; rare risks mean threads must be placed by a doctor

What to expect

  1. Assessment. We assess your skin laxity and agree which areas and how many threads suit you.
  2. Placement. After numbing, the threads are guided under the skin through tiny entry points.
  3. Settling. We explain how the result settles over the following weeks.

Sessions

Usually one visit. Results typically last many months, as the threads dissolve and your own collagen continues to support the area. Your doctor will advise on timing.

Downtime

Some swelling, bruising and tenderness for several days. Avoid extreme facial movements for a while.

Aftercare

  • Sleep on your back with your head slightly raised for the first nights
  • Avoid massage, dental work and heavy exercise for the period we advise
  • Contact us if you notice severe pain, redness or fever
