About Root Canal Treatment (RCT)
A root canal treatment removes infected or damaged tissue from inside a tooth, cleans the space and seals it. It relieves pain and lets you keep your own tooth instead of having it removed. Despite its reputation, it is done under local anaesthetic and should feel like having a filling.
Benefits
- Relieves toothache and infection
- Saves your natural tooth
- Prevents the problem spreading
- Comfortable under local anaesthetic
